Clean, Solution-Driven Website Empowers Local Crafts Community

For decades, the League of NH Craftsmen has helped artisans market their work, develop their skills, and earn a living from their craft. Representing more than 750 juried members working in mediums from pottery and wood to jewelry, textiles, and photography, the League supports a vibrant statewide network. While galleries across New Hampshire showcase this artistry, League Headquarters manages operations and membership.
Challenge
Over time, the League’s website became cluttered and difficult to navigate, making it challenging for both staff and users to find or update essential information. A small team of employees and many volunteers struggled to maintain the site. Key content—including juried member data from an in-house database, schedules for classes, events, and exhibits at statewide galleries—needed to be accessible and easily updated. The lack of a streamlined, user-friendly site hindered the League’s ability to showcase opportunities and support its members.
Strategy
Our goal was to deliver a clean, user-focused website that put the spotlight on Juried Members and their work, while ensuring every visitor could quickly find the information they needed. Mobile-friendly design and robust accessibility features were prioritized for a better user experience. The site was built for clarity, readability, and easy interaction, empowering League staff and volunteers to manage content independently and efficiently for years to come.
Results
Working from a thoughtful design by Sullivan Creative, we developed a custom-themed WordPress website that integrates directly with the League’s in-house juried member database. Custom post types were created to display Juried Members by name and medium, making it easy for users to explore the community. The same solution powers a virtual gallery of the Grodin Permanent Collection Museum, giving online visitors a new way to appreciate the League’s history.
Finally, new tools were built to promote classes at League Headquarters and simplify the marketing of exhibitions and workshops at galleries statewide. The result is a modern, easily managed website that connects artists, members, and the public—and positions the League for future growth.
