Business Manager

 

The Position

Paragon is looking for a business manager to handle many of the daily operations that the business owner has been handling. You’ll work closely with the founder of the company, Zach. This is a key role that ensures our team runs smoothly, our clients stay happy, and we have everything we need to do our jobs. You will do everything we need to keep the office running smoothly, from payroll to making sure we have an adequate supply of coffee from Prime Roast.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Monthly Invoicing
  • Expense Tracking
  • Ordering Office Supplies
  • Basic Bookkeeping
  • Organizing Staff Events and Client Workshops
  • Gathering Odelay orders on Odelay Day and calling Charcoal Charlie for BBQ Thursdays
  • Onboarding Employees
  • Entering Payroll
  • Making sure our plants don’t die
  • Scanning Receipts and Documents
  • Running errands
  • Booking travel
  • Many other random tasks that come along with running a small business

Required Skills

  • Extremely detail oriented (Zach is a bit obsessed with doing things right and well)
  • A perfectionist
  • Somewhat tech-savvy (we are a paperless office and do everything we can electronically)
  • Fun and easy to work with
  • Experience managing the operations of a business
  • Able to put up with Zach (he is very passionate about his business)

Brownie Point For

  • Paychex Payroll and QuickBooks experience
  • Knowing what a Pivot Table is and how to use one
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and websites
